Lake Cave is a captivating limestone chamber nestled beneath the karri forests of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, approximately 20 minutes south of Margaret River and about 40 minutes north of Augusta along Caves Road. Renowned for its tranquil underground lake and the unique 'Suspended Table' formation, a massive crystal decoration seemingly floating above the water, this cave offers a mesmerizing experience. Visitors descend through a dramatic sinkhole, known as a doline, into a sunken forest before entering the cave's pristine chamber. Guided one-hour tours illuminate the cave's delicate formations and provide insights into its geological history. Due to limited tour numbers, advance booking is recommended.
